Mark Evans a.k.a Lucas Marks fronts a band called 'Lucas Marks and the Glorious Unknown' and his passions are for the spontaneity and communicative powers of music. Radio Silence was written after a long, silent meditation retreat and recorded on a farm near Wigan. Mark has told the UKSC that It refers to how relationships between people can break down and how to reach across the divide in order to re-connect. He adds, "'For me it is the quirkiness of the drum patters that brings this song alive." Lucas Marks And The Glorious Unknown are a contemporary americana influenced folk rock band based in mid-Cheshire. This innovative band play exciting, tuneful rock music with a strong roots-based feel, influenced by artists such as Bob Dylan, The Old Crow Medicine Show, The Lumineers and The Waterboys in addition to bluegrass and traditional folk music. High points have included their appearances at the Mark Radclife Folk In The Theatre and at music festivals in the North West. The band are able to play smaller venues with semi-acoustic lineups but are a five piece outfit (featuring electric guitar and rock drummer) for larger venues and festivals.
